POLICY AND PROCEDURE

1) When a lesson is scheduled, attendance is anticipated.  Notification of absence is required one week prior to absence.  Notification after that is greatly appreciated, but will result in a cancellation fee of your regular lesson price.  The only accepted absence is illness, injury, or family emergency, at which time your cancellation fee will be waived.   A “no call/no show” is failure to call ahead to cancel, and not showing up. (Exceptions listed above) *Two "nc/ns" will result in termination of contract with no refund.

2) *Lessons are to be prepaid one month in advance. Payment is expected at the beginning of the first lesson of each month. Lessons will not be given unless payment has been received. If unable to pay one full month in advance, please discuss payment options with me. No monies will be refunded, only credited. Checks are accepted. cash is always preferred.

3) Students are required to have a music journal.  Students without one will be provided one for $1.00.  The purpose of music journals is to organize what is learned, keep track of accomplishments, remind what to practice, and allow students to write questions or comments for the next lesson.  Please ensure journals make it to lessons, and that they are read during practice. 

4) Remind children to use the restroom before lessons, as it is hard to get back on task after a break.  It is important that clean hands are brought to lessons, especially in colder months.  Do not permit children to bring food, drink, or GUM to lessons (bottled water is acceptable).  I encourage taking shoes off at the door (Beaufort only).  Thank you for helping me to provide a safe and clean learning environment!
